Gaetano Guardino
Guardino Gaetano, Italian guitarist.
Graduated in Guitar at the State Conservatory of Music “G.B. Pergolesi ”in Fermo under the guidance of Maestro Claudio Marcotulli.
Raised in a family environment sensitive to the charm of the sound arts, he began studying classical guitar under the guidance of his father at the age of six. Enrollment in a secondary school with a musical address allows him to perfect his relationship with his instrument and to take part in some national music reviews
In 2003 he decided to explore the biting and transgressive sounds of pop-rock music, founding the musical group “Blizzard“. After three years of live experiences on the Agrigento soil, however, Gaetano leaves the band.
In 2004 he entered the Ribera Conservatory and studied with maestro Riccardo Ferrara. From an educational point of view, the encounters with guitarists of undisputed fame, such as Santi D'Angelo, Gigi Cifarelli, Luca Meneghello and Giorgio Buttitta, are precious.
In 2008 Gaetano joined a new musical group, the "Plainsboro", with which he attracted the attention of a wider audience, reaching the semifinals at the national festival "Sanremo Rock".
Alongside the passion for the electric guitar, strengthened by periods of study carried out under the guidance of guitarists such as Osvaldo Lo Iacono and Gai Bennici, ours always continues to deepen the study of classical guitar.
In the same year he participates in a masterclass in "Guitar Technique and Interpretation", held in Catania by maestro Giulio Tampalini, opening an intense period of experiences and collaborations. In fact, Gaetano has the opportunity to take part in two other prestigious masterclasses: the first in Altidona, with Claudio Marcotulli; the second in Messina, with Steve Vai.
In 2009 he passed the admissions to the conservatory of Fermo, placing himself in first place. In the same year he records the guitars together with a string quartet, for the soundtrack of the documentary "Viaggio a Lampedusa", directed by maestro Antonio Giovanni Bono, and aired throughout Italy. Moving to the aforementioned city, the young Saccense guitarist takes the opportunity to get in touch with, and study, with Luca Colombo, one of the most sought-after session players in the Italian music scene. With a view to a professional job just as a session player, Gaetano works on the planning of some studio meetings with internationally renowned guitarists (Tommy Emmanuel, Stef Burns, Robben Ford, Steve Morse, Paul Gilbert, Scott Henderson, Larry Carlton, Carl Varheyen, Guthrie Govan, Frank Gambale, Greg Howe, Steve Trova, Andy Timmons, Marty Friedman, Jennifer Batten, Thomas Blug, Michael Angelo Batio, Mel Gaynor, Jesùs Pineda Arjona, Victor Bravo Gonzales, Roland Dyens, Leo Brouwer, Marcin Dylla, David Russell Guido Fichtner, Ricky Portera, Massimo Varini, Giacomo Castellano, Dodi Battaglia, Corrado Rustici, Stefano Palamidessi, Pietro Antinori, Massimo Lonardi, Rosario Cicero, Arturo Tallini, Vito Nicola Paradiso, Adriano Dallapè). These experiences allow him to hone his knowledge in the field of effects and arrangements, as well as opening up new listening horizons in the style of Funky and Disco music.
In 2010 he has the opportunity to attend a master's degree in a prestigious London school, the "Tech Music School", where he has the opportunity to further improve and study with great masters of international music such as John Wheatcroft (Carl Palmer, John Jorgenson , Elton John, Mike Stern, Glen Hughes), Jacob Quistgaard (Andreya Triana, Giles Peterson), Richie Barrett (Roger Daltrey, Kenney Jones, Tony Hadley), Steve Allsworth (Lily Allen, Rod Stewart, Ronan Keating, Lulu), Philippe Castermane (Dave Meegane: U2, Phil Vinall: Placebo, Pulp, Jay Stapley: Roger Waters, Mike Holdfield), Ed Williams (Steve Lyon: Paul Mac Cartney, Depeche Mode), Graham Godfrey, Andy Sturges (Paul Gilbert), Kelly Fraser (The Royal FestivaL Hall, Her Majesty The Queen), Dave Troke (James Taylor, Ian Grimble: Red Hot chili Peppers, Ian little: Duran Duran, Kevin Moloney: U2, Sinead o 'Connor).
Also in 2010, the young Saccense guitarist began an important artistic collaboration with the Ascoli singer-songwriter Andrea Petrucci, accompanying him in the promotion of his first album.
In 2011 he performed with the artist throughout Italy, opening concerts by various Italian bands, including Verdena, and participating in music festivals and TV shows. In the same year he obtained the license of "Theory, Solfeggio and Musical Dictation" at the G.B. Pergolesi of Fermo. Later, he participates in an "International Masterclass" of guitar, held by Claudio Marcotulli and organized by the "Maria Malibran" International Music Academy.
In 2012 he performed with the singer Stefano Filipponi, finalist of the fourth edition of "X-Factor".
In 2013 he was chosen as the official guitarist of Stefania Tasca, a finalist in the well-known program "The Voice Of Italy" broadcast on Rai 2. In December of the same year he received the "Ferdinandea" Young Talents Section Award in his city, promoted and organized by Corriere di Sciacca with the patronage of the Municipality.
In 2014 he joined the band of Paolo Simoni, a young Italian singer-songwriter! From May 31st the promotion of the single “Che Stress” will begin, opening the concerts of the “Mondovisione Tour” by Luciano Ligabue at the Olympic Stadium in Rome and at the San Siro Stadium in Milan. In June of the same year he participated with Paolo Simoni in the "Coca Cola Music Summer Festival" broadcast in prime time on Canale 5, RTL 102.5 and at the "Festival Show" at the Verona Arena.
In 2015 he performed with Roberto Schembri, Angelo la Barbera (Giuni Russo), Mimmo la Mantia (Rosa Balistreri), with the Mexican tenor Sebastian Torres Nunez at the Embassy of Mexico in Italy, Holland and subsequently guests on Radio24 live national in the program "Voice Anatomy" conducted by the famous actor Pino Insegno. In December of the same year, the Videoclip "Last Horizon", a tribute to Brian May, aired on various national TVs (RAI 3) and various articles in newspapers such as "La Repubblica", "Il Resto del Carlino", "La Sicily ".
In 2016 he opens the Carmen Russo and Enzo Paolo Turchi Concerts, he performs with the great Italian drummer Giorgio Di Tullio, with the singer-songwriter Marco Sbarbati, with the singer Silva Fortes for "M'illumino di meno" organized by the BCC, at the Embassy of the Republic of Angola, with the Soul System (X Factor 10 Winners), Roshelle, Gaia, becomes Endorser of important brands such as Eko Music Group, Earthtone Guitar Pedals, La Bella Strings, Cobain Clothing, Magrabò, Essetipicks, Micheluttis Guitars , Romano Burini Custom Guitars, Tefi Vintage Lab, Connetter & Arte, interviewed on the most important and historic Italian guitar magazine "Guitar Club" and is selected as the only Italian guitarist to play at the world music showcase in Miami.
In 2017 with Sebastian Torres & The Italian Orchestra they climbed the Italian music charts with the single "Amapola", one of the most aired songs on the radio, interviews for national and international TV, (RAI, MEDIASET). Guest at one of the most important festivals in the world in Holland "Embassy Festival". In the meantime, the first video clip published "Last Horizon" shakes great success in the U.S.A, so much so that it is reviewed and published by various American portals!
Take part in the fifth edition of Pizzighettone's “Music Wall” as Endorser for the “Micheluttis” acoustic and electric guitars.
In the same year he records two singles for the great international artist “Noelia”.
In 2018 the first EP titled Adventure and the video of Libertango are released in all digital stores. Several shows in the best Italian theaters and collaboration in special events together with Mario Brozzi (Milan Calcio), Ficarra, Lello Analfino and other great singers and actors on the Italian scene!
