Luca Colombo
An eclectic artistic personality that of Luca Colombo, considered among the best Italian guitarists, musician, arranger and teacher, whose guitar has accompanied a large number of Italian and international artists.
Luca has been on many tours alongside the most important Italian artists, such as Marco Mengoni, Eros Ramazzotti, Nek, Max Pezzali, Mango, Anna Oxa, Antonella Ruggiero, Umberto Tozzi, Gatto Panceri, Franz Di Cioccio, Loredana Bertè e internazionali come Robbie Williams, Lionel Richie, Al Jarreau, Phil Collins, Leona Lewis, Rebecca Ferguson, Jennifer Lopez, Brian May, Michael Boublè e James Blunt.
Lecturer at the Parma Conservatory and teacher in seminars and training courses leading around Italy, he wrote a three-volume publication "Life as a guitarist" which tells his teaching method.
He works in the television, record and live fields, participating in well-known television programs such as "Buona Domenica", "Sabato Italiano", "Un disco per l’estate", "Fiorello Show", "Rockpolitik", "X Factor" etc..
In 2013 he won the FIM "Guitarist of the Year" Award and since 2007 he has been the First guitar of the Sanremo Festival orchestra.
The major musical and artistic influences come from the world of great guitarists such as Carlos Santana, Jimi Hendrix and Val Halen and from the jazz fusion of Pat Metheny John Scofield and Mike Stern.
"The Luca Colombo Band" is his live project, in which Paolo Costa (bass), Lele Melotti (drummer) and Giovanni Boscariol (keyboard) collaborate, with whom he recorded Sunderland, a disc that contains 12 instrumental songs, with a rock soul, with hints of unexpected and incredible delicacy.
