Riccardo Castelli
Riccardo was born in Cupra Marittima in July 1993. The first approach to music comes during middle school between a flute lesson and his father's encouragement to pick up the guitar. From here begins his journey, first approaching the instrument as a self-taught, then enrolling in a course. A turning point in sound and taste comes for him listening to David Gilmour's intro in "Shine on you crazy diamond" from a DVD of a Pink Floyd live in London. At 14 he starts playing with other musicians, initially with covers ranging from rock to metal, then starting to write songs. In 2015 the first album with Neurotics was released, “Reptilia”. With the same group, he has the opportunity to experience large stages by opening concerts to Deep Purple (Parco Della pace - Servigliano) and to Russel Allen, singer of Symphony X. A second turning point towards the world of music comes with the registration to the Rock Guitar Academy by Donato Begotti in which he graduated in the CCR course in June 2017. After graduating, he immediately began working as a teacher without ever stopping to test himself and experiment with new musical worlds. Since 2014 he starts playing with the Vizi e Virtù, Vasco Rossi's cover band that boasts live performances throughout Italy and collaborations with Vasco's official musicians. In 2018 he left for the Maldives with the acoustic duo Musica in Corde. A guitar and the loop station accompany him for the following 7 months in Amilla Fushi's paradise. In 2019, an unexpected phone call took him to the biggest stages in Italy to play for thousands of people alongside Achille Lauro as a substitute for his guitarist and then record the guitars in the singles "March 16" and "Maleducata". Strengthened by these experiences gained over the years he decides to record his first solo album "Kosmos" out everywhere from 02-18-2020. In the spring of the same year, he participates and wins an online contest organized by Lari Basilio and Seymour Duncan Pickups.
