Chicco Gussoni
Born in Busto Arsizio on 23 April 1963. Graduated from the “G. Verdi” Conservatory of Milan in 1985
He is one of the most requested guitarists in the Italian music scene.
Since 1988 he has worked in the recording studio and live with Franco Battiato, Ron, Biagio Antonacci, Lucio Dalla, Nek, Max Pezzali, Eros Ramazzotti, Laura Pausini, Francesco Renga, Luca Carboni, Luca Barbarossa, Fausto Leali, Mia Martini, Miguel Bosè, Renato Zero, Patty Pravo, Mango, Claudio Baglioni, Emma Marrone, Alessandra Amoroso, playing in more than 100 albums.
He has accompanied international artists such as Sting, Michael Bolton, Art Garfunkel, Brian May of Queen, Al Jarreau, in major television shows.
He collaborated with Stewart Copeland of the Police for the “Notte della Taranta”.
Guitarist soloist of important Rai and Mediaset television productions such as Sanremo Festival, Io Canto with Jerry Scotty and the evening edition of Amici with the orchestra of Peppe Vessicchio.
Since 2007 he is the official guitarist of the Rai orchestra of the Sanremo Festival.
Since 2011 he collaborates with singer Nek, as a solo guitarist and arranger.
In 2011 the prestigious InSound music magazine awarded him the prize as “Best Italian Electric Guitarist”.
In November 2015 he released his first solo album “I am” with guests like Mike Landau, Tony Levin, Nek, Josh Smith.
