Roby Cantafio was born in Lombardy but spends his childhood and adolescence around the world, spending long periods of his life in the Bahamas, Germany, Iran and Algeria, experiences that will deeply influence his artistic temperament. impetuous and rich in nuances.
His passion for music, which began at a very young age, led him to deal with different musical instruments, but the electric guitar soon became his faithful life partner, thanks to which he developed a great passion for Rock and the Blues and for artists such as the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, KISS. Among his guitarists his favorites are Jeff Beck, Carlos Santana, David Gilmour and Eric Clapton.

The meeting with Maestro Licchelli di Melegnano at the Stajano Music Academy directed by Maestro Rebecchi was decisive in his approach to the instrument.
he Joins his first band in the province of Milan at the age of 12, testing himself with great international and Italian hits. In the years to come he collaborates, even writing several songs, with various bands including NED , with whom he has a good success with audiences and critics, so much so that he is contacted by the RCA record company and participate in the finals of the Castrocaro Terme Festival with a song entitled DONNA MUSICA discussing a good success.
In a subsequent edition of Castrocaro Terme he participates with the singer MIKAELA performing a song written for the occasion by Pino D’Angiò .
Other important collaborations are that with the singer " Sharon " for a European tour, and with the " Band in Italy " resulting from the meeting with the producers Gegeʼ Reitano and Sergio Grandi for the “ Fremus Record ” label.
After countless musical contributions with different artists, he decides to try his hand at his solo career also as a songwriter and reaches his first album " FUORI E DENTRO DI ME ", released on October 19, 2018 preceded by single and video " THE WORLD THAT TREMA ", produced by Ettore Diliberto.
On the disc there is a special collaboration: that of one of the greatest rock guitars of Italian music, Ricky Portera, founder of the Stadio and guitarist of Lucio Dalla, who played in the songs " IL MONDO CHE TREMA ”and“ I FEEL THE HEART BEATING ”.
In 2018, at the final of SANREMO ROCK , he was awarded as the most followed artist on the Sanremo Rock website and social networks. 2019 sees him engaged in the preparation of a new album, and in many other collaborations, including participation in the " Gordini & Friends ", a review of traveling concerts organized by the tenor Rodolfo Maria Gordini.
