The story of the Moretta
According to tradition, Moretta had origin among the sailors and fishermen of the port of Fano, who drank correct and very warm to warm up and reinvigorate before "going to sea".
In times gone by, poverty led to the avoidance of waste, so the remnants of advanced liqueurs were collected together; the "moretta" was later born from these.
The first documented referenceto the brunette is an advertisement in a local weekly from 1908, in which Giuseppe Armanni's Caffè Cavour offers her to 10 cents of lire.
In 2006 the Moretta was officially included as a cocktail in the A.I.B.E.S. list. (Italian Association of Barmen and Supporters).
In 2011 it was included in the regional list of traditional agri-food products /strong>i of the Marche.
The Moretta Fanese, Moretta di Fano or Moretta is a corrected coffee originating from the city of Fano, also widespread in neighboring areas and cities of the Province of Pesaro and Urbino.
It is strong and sweet, and is usually drunk as a digestif after meals or as an afternoon energizer.
When I was 17, I lived in Panama for 11 months.
At the beginning, everyone asked me where I lived, what was in my city...
And by seeing Fano and its wonders, I fell in love with it.
But Fano is not just monuments.
Fano is music, it's sea, it's taste... And it's all Made in Italy!
The ideal would be to come and discover it and taste it in person,
but in the meantime, I'll let you taste something.

With our artisanal creations, we also want to transfer this,
the beauty that lies in the small and simple everyday things,
like drinking a coffee with good background music...
For this reason, I had a special idea to leave you with a memory of our city.
Thanks to Andrea Urbani and his "Guerrino Pasticceria dal 1947"
in collaboration with Andrea Restuccia, the 2021 world pastry champion, the Bombetta Fanese was born, the chocolate with Moretta notes.
